This is one of the very first songs I wrote and recorded in the shed...either 2009 or 2010...I was still figuring out how to play guitar (1) let alone record and write...a simple tune...nothing flashy...I wrote this song for my Wife (2)...the lyrics had been in my head for years...and scribbled on various pieces of paper throughout the years...the chords casually strummed on many acoustic guitars laying around...I recorded the vocals of this track through a microphone purchased online for $5 (3)...it looks like a plastic kids microphone...it sounds like one as well...my little girls actually use it as a play microphone now...i think I might try and find another one...the crappiness of it made me feel better about my lack of vocal abilities...originally this tune was attached to a datewiththeknife song as a 1, 2 punch type of track...however this one kinda got left by the wayside...it got played a few times...but kinda didnt fit in anymore...I think when i recorded this song the tuner I was using was set up 1/2 a step...not that i knew what that was..still dont...still dont actually care about tuning...I probably should...I remember I did the drums in one take and was happy enough with the whole thing being put in a vault to never see the light of day...surprise...warts and all.

(1) I still don’t really know how to play guitar…still using self named chord names such as the claw, claw 2, all in slim jim and my favourite chord of all the finger finger of doom
(2) She has still never heard it…she keeps saying you should write a song for me…I keep saying I did…she keeps saying well where is it…well my love…here it is
(3) It was actually 5 pounds…I got it whilst in London…and when I say I got it…I didn’t…my Wife got it for me…hence the cheap crappiness of it…but hey it still lives.
